Juan Carlos Garcia is Managing Partner and co-founder of GlobalEqon LLC.

Juan Carlos Garcia has more than 15 years of experience in international investment banking, global financial markets and portfolio management. Leading polls have recognized him as one of the top analysts on Wall Street.

Most recently, Juan Carlos was a Managing Partner and Founder of Suala Capital Fund, a private equity company dedicated to LBOs in Spain. Suala had US$300 million in capital.

Prior to Suala, he was responsible for portfolio management and equity research in emerging markets with a focus in Latin America at Santander Global Advisors (SGA). Before joining SGA, he served as the Managing Director and Head of emerging markets equity research and was the Chief Latin American Strategist within Santander's investment banking division. He built the entire equity research business. In only three years under his leadership, the team achieved top-three research ranking, according to Institutional Investor.

Prior to Santander, he was the Director of Latin American Equity Research at Salomon Brothers. He was ranked by Institutional Investor in the telecom sector. Before joining Salomon Brothers, Juan Carlos was a Latin American equity analyst at Smith Barney, as well as a U.S. health care equity analyst.

Juan Carlos earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at University of the Andes, Bogota, and his M.S. in Finance at Boston College. He is the recipient of many international awards in Mathematics.
